STR performs advanced research and development using machine learning, program analysis, optimization, artificial intelligence, and formal methods for the cybersecurity and resiliency of cyber-physical systems. Targeting the hardest security challenges facing our national defense, STR is developing cutting-edge capabilities in cyber-physical systems modeling, vulnerability analysis, and attack detection and remediation. We are currently seeking a program manager who is passionate about problem solving through teamwork. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of cyber research and development programs. The program manager is responsible for leadership and execution of all program phases, from ideation, marketing, and proposal development through execution and program close-out. Day to day activities include direct management and oversight of program technical, financial, and schedule performance. The program manager will work with the principal investigator, technical leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel to identify and report potential risks/issues and provide recommendations for solutions. Candidates must be able to manage program performance through review of metrics and program execution milestones; gather, evaluate, and synthesize data from multiple sources (e.g., program reports, program personnel, customer feedback, etc.) to understand and report status/issues and to identify trends in program performance and assess impact. This position requires extensive interaction with external program customers and STR leadership.
Ideal candidates will have significant technical breadth and a demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple, technically-diverse programs and teams. Entrepreneurial candidates with proven experience marketing and winning new projects are strongly encouraged to apply.
