The Paychex Security Assessment Team is looking to hire a hands-on, experienced, Security Assessment Engineer. The Security Assessment Engineer should be technically savvy, a strong multitasker, and be able to work independently to solve complex problems. The Security Assessment Team maintains the Vulnerability Management program here at Paychex by leveraging industry leading technologies. We interface with multiple stakeholders including Product Development, IT Operations, and various product groups. The team provides guidance on vulnerability findings and assists with the identification, triage, remediation, validation, and reporting of security vulnerabilities. We embody accountability, partnership, and solid communication skills to help drive our initiatives throughout the organization. What can you expect to do in this role? - Make meaningful contributions towards Paychex’s security posture from a vulnerability management perspective.
- Help oversee the bug bounty program and work with independent security researchers as needed.
- Provide security reviews and remediation guidance to Paychex technology and business partners.
- Design and develop security testing scenarios and perform penetration tests to improve the security posture of Paychex systems and applications.
- Be innovative and stay up to date on the information security industry.

- Bachelor's Degree in Security or another related discipline
- 7 years of experience in Linux, Solaris, Windows, AIX, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
- 3 years of experience in Network or wireless design and management.
