Description

The TDT Team Lead will assist the Supervisor in planning and directing the daily workflow within the Tax Disbursement Team. This position ensures successful operations in accordance with the company’s objectives. The Tax Disbursement Team Lead provides training, feedback and support to the team.

Bill Processing

  • Prepare outgoing Bill Request and Registrations to taxing authorities
  • Open incoming mail from taxing authorities and route to appropriate process
  • Authenticate all tax bills received and confirm correct taxing authority mailing address, phone number, contact information and due dates.
  • Key tax amounts into LERETA’s TCSL (Tax C Service Search Listing) System
  • Image and index customer documents for proper uploading to LERETA’s WebXtender System
  • Outsourcing Mail distribution according to Lender approved Mail matrix. In some cases, experience in Lender Servicing systems; MSP, FiServ, Mortgage SERV, LSAMS, etc.

Payment Processing

  • Identify and Key Check details for incoming mass payments into Payment DB
  • File and pull necessary tax bills for Payment processing
  • Balance mass payments for taxing authorities in conjunction with ELD (Economic Loss Date) to ensure timely remittance
  • Bill Match necessary bills to payment listings for clean organized payment packages to the taxing authorities
  • Monitor internal DCP (Daily Cash Position) report to monitor funds payable to LERETA
  • Initiate and prepare timely Electronic Funds Transfers to various taxing authorities

Customer Service

  • Professional telephone mannerism when speaking to LERETA’s mortgage lenders and taxing authorities
  • Professionalism in representing LERETA LLC to internal and external customers
  • Respond to mortgage lenders and taxing authorities by utilizing effective verbal and written communication in a prompt and accurate manner

Quality Control

  • Provide details of quality issues found throughout process to immediate Team Lead or Supervisor
  • To accurately prepare production/statistical reports as applicable

Lead Responsibilities

  • Assist TDT Supervisor with...
    • Identifying issues with team members
    • Delegating of work during peak cycles
    • Gathering and recording Daily/Weekly/Monthly statistics for Management
    • Gathering statistics for Employee One on One’s
    • Establishing and monitoring productivity measurement standards
    • Monitoring the monthly temporary budget
    • Developing of training materials
  • Assist TDT Tax Processor I, TDT Tax Processor II, and TDT Senior Tax Processor with difficult and/or exceptions to the normal process
  • Attend meetings during absence of TDT Supervisor when applicable
  • With minimal supervision, prioritize assignments and report request based on department goals to ensure deadlines are consistently met
  • Assist team with decision making issues related to determining liability and processing concerns
  • Assume TDT Supervisor role in their absence
 
Position Requirements
  • Must be able to type 60 wpm
  • Must be able to use 10 key by touch; 10k or above with 98% accuracy
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Real Estate Tax Servicing
  • Must have ability to formulate and execute plans and goals for team
  • Must demonstrate ability to execute assigned task and recognizes the opportunity to delegate
  • Must be a team player and have ability to work in a team environment
  • Must possess effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have basic problem-solving skills to assist team members with exceptions during processing
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel 2007, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Access 97.
  • Data Entry/Computer usage experience
  • Customer Service Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience as TDT Senior Tax Processor or equivalent
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of TDT Databases (Bill Acquisition and/or Payment)
  • Advanced knowledge of LERETA’s tax cycles including higher level of complexity pertaining to state and agency requirements.
