Description

The TDT Tax Processor II will prioritize and coordinate the gathering and accurate reporting of time-sensitive real estate tax information within multi-state geographic regions. The TDT Tax Processor II ensures accurate dates and information are maintained on LERETA's Agency Profile and Reporting Calendar systems. The TDT Tax Processor II will advise of unusual tax office circumstances or requirements that could endanger the timely reporting of current or prior year real estate tax information. To process property taxes for escrowed and/or non-escrowed loans in a timely and efficient manner. To ensure our LERETA LLC and Business Partner receives tax information timely, accurately, and in a qualitative manner.

Tax Procurement

  • Analyzes customer's tax status request, by utilizing Lereta mainframe agency header and calendar profiles.
  • Oversees the tax amount data procurement methods consisting of telephone, e-mail, fax communication to taxing agency jurisdictions with professionalism.
  • Ensures timely response of inquiries from mortgage lenders, homeowners, and taxing agency jurisdictions by utilizing effective verbal and written communication in a prompt and accurate manner.
  • Assists with the development of training materials and conducts training sessions with fellow team members, both Full-Time and Temporary Staff personnel.
  • Accurately prepares production/statistical reports to mortgage lenders and direct supervisor and/or managers when applicable.

Bill Processing

  • Oversees and ensures all tax bills, correspondence, and C-Service/B-Service reports received are processed timely and efficiently to meet LERETA LLC and Business Partner standards.
  • Provides constructive feedback to lower level employees and keeps the team apprised of the constant changes in work procedures and policies.
  • Validates all tax bills received within the department are authenticated to ensure accuracy in transferring tax bill data to Lereta's AS 400 Mainframe.
  • Ensures timely response of inquiries from mortgage lenders, homeowners, and taxing agency jurisdictions by utilizing effective verbal and written communication in a prompt and accurate manner.
  • Verifies the imaging and indexing process of lender documents for accurate uploading to Lereta's WebXtender system.

Assist with the development of training materials and conduct training sessions with fellow team members, both Full-Time and Temporary Staff personnel.

Payment Processing

  • Effectively monitors, reports, and communicates status of work assignments and statistics to Team Lead/Supervisor while identifying any opportunity to increase efficiency processing tax payments from mortgage lenders to the taxing agency jurisdictions in order to meet tax payment deadlines.
  • Ensures timely response of inquiries from mortgage lenders, homeowners, and taxing agency jurisdictions by utilizing effective verbal and written communication in a prompt and accurate manner.
  • Ensures that the Verify and Package payment listings and checks are delivered accurately and ensure well organized payment packages are delivered to the taxing agency jurisdictions prior to the economic loss date.
  • On behalf of Lereta's mortgage lenders, verifies the accuracy of all Electronic Funds Transfers to various taxing agency jurisdictions prior to economic loss date.
  • Assists with the development of training materials and conduct training sessions with fellow team members, both Full-Time and Temporary Staff personnel.

Customer Service

  • Ensures the teams are demonstrating professionalism in representing LERETA LLC to internal and external customer.
  • Ensures timely response of inquiries from mortgage lenders, homeowners, and taxing agency jurisdictions by utilizing effective verbal and written communication in a prompt and accurate manner.
  • Effectively communicates tax status information to Lereta's internal and external customers.

Quality Control

  • Performs Quality Assurance (QA) in work queues, Excel spreadsheets and other applicable formats.
  • Applies and supports the implementation of new or modified policy and procedures as instructed to ensure Tax Disbursement Team standards.
  • Accurately prepares production/statistical reports as applicable.

This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.

 
Position Requirements
  • Minimum of 12-18 months experience as a Tax Disbursement Team Processor I or equivalent.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in AS400.

Experience in MSP, FiServ, and MortageServ, Servicing System.
