Description

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Food Service Staff, including, Site Monitors, Site Supervisors, Site Assistants and Volunteers.

SUMMARY

Plans, directs and coordinates School Meal Nutrition Programs, including, Site Monitors, Site Supervisors, Site Assistants and Volunteers. Work with sites to increase the effectiveness of the program. Duties are detail oriented in nature and require initiative, leadership, and ability to direct others.

Assist in the fulfillment of the agency's vision, 'For Those We Serve,' by empowering individuals who thrive as healthy, self-sufficient and contributing members of our communities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist Registered Dietitian in providing overall coordination of After School and Summer Food Services Program (SFSP) Site Monitors, Site Supervisors, Site Assistants and Volunteers.

Responsible for overall operation of At-Risk Sites and SFSP Sites.

Assists and trains site supervisors, site assistants, site monitors and volunteers with management of site to assure compliance.

Ensures that meal orders are received in accurate and timely fashion.

Coordinates with sites and conduct outreach efforts to increase participation.

Trains and supervises After School and SFSP staff on an ongoing basis.

Ensures that all monitoring requirements are met.

Adjusts meal orders as needed.

Observes meal service as needed.

Maintains records of daily and weekly reports and prepares them for claim.

Enter Monthly Claims into CNIPS Program

Responsible for marketing of After School and SFSP to increase participation.

Completes monthly program Expense Reports.

Travels for agency business using personal/agency vehicle.

Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.

Works evenings and weekends as required.

Performs other duties as assigned.

 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED.

Completion of college courses in Nutrition or a related field required.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of two years of food service experience preferred.

Two years of clerical experience preferred.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess and maintain Food Handlers card or obtain within thirty (30) days of employment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related business software used to maintain accurate records.

Ability to accurately type 35 words per minute.

Ability to operate audiovisual equipment

Effective presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

Bilingual English/Spanish or other secondary language preferred due to the needs of the clients.

Willing to work non-traditional hours and days to meet the needs of this position.

Maintain a valid California driver’s license, reliable transportation, adequate auto insurance as required by State law, and insurability by agency carrier.
