Position Licensed Landscape Architect

Based in the City of Minneapolis, Alliant Engineering, Inc. is a, established professional design firm where your voice is heard, ideas are encouraged, and your work is highly regarded. If you are a Landscape Architect with strong project, interpersonal and client relationship skills, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team.

Position Responsibilities:

As a Landscape Architect, you will work in collaborative integrated team of professionals that include professional engineers and other team members in the development of plans and project documents. You will use your skills to manage and assist in the development of complete project documents that include urban design, mixed-use, commercial, multi-family and single-family developments.

You will also:

  • Review and interpret regulatory codes, ordinances, and comprehensive plans
  • Review and analyze land features relating to opportunities and constraints for development
  • Prepare due diligence analysis, land development concepts, design development plans and graphic illustrations using both digital and hand drawn formats?
  • Work with senior landscape architects and civil engineers to develop and refine design solutions
  • Participate in project meetings with staff, clients, & regulatory agencies
  • Assist in editing technical plans, details, and specifications

Required qualifications:

  • Degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Three (3) to eight (8) years of professional experience.
  • LA registration
  • Strong design and graphic skills
  • Strong plant knowledge and extensive planting/landscape plan experience
  • Strong skills with AutoCAD
  • Technical knowledge of landscape architectural site development elements and materials.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
  • Portfolio or work samples will be required if considered for an interview.
