We are currently seeking a qualified and proven Quality Manager to join our team. This position will support the Mt. Eaton, Dundee and Massillon, Ohio manufacturing locations, as well as, our Sparks, Nevada distribution site. The Quality Manager will report directly into the Vice President of Operations and works closely with the plants' leadership team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of all aspects of the Quality Management System; including continued ISO 9001:2015 certification.

 
Position Requirements

Position requirements:

  • Formulates and maintains quality objectives, aligns and coordinates objectives with Production and Corporate objectives in cooperation with the Plant Manager and other managers/supervisors to maximize product quality and minimize costs.
  • Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process & quality system related concerns.
  • Employ statistical techniques and rationale in decision-making activities driven by quality data that is statistical in nature
  • Responsible for continuous improvement activities to enhance the quality system.
  • Develop training to build quality awareness.
  • Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure Production of new and present products are in accordance with approved data and processes.
  • Ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
  • Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports, and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to a dealer/customer concern.
  • Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
  • Interface with the sales team and dealer base to help ensure product quality meets and exceeds expectations.
  • Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.
  • Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions.
  • Manage suppliers’ performance and conduct audits, when applicable.
  • Preparation of QA reports, as applicable. IE; Warranty pareto, scrap, audit.
  • Serve as the key contact for the Quality Management System’s 3rd party registrar.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Engineering, other engineering discipline or technical related field
  • Five (5) or more years of quality experience in a manufacturing & assembly environment are required.
  • SPC and /or Lean Six Sigma experience / certification is desired..
  • CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or other ASQ certification is beneficial
  • Previous ISO 9001:2015 experience preferred
