Share Email Opening Title Geotechnical Staff Engineer, EIT  Description Job Purpose: This position will be involved in a variety of geotechnical engineering projects with a focus on foundation engineering and an emphasis on design-build delivery methods. This individual will interface with a multi-disciplinary engineering team consisting of civil, structural, and various construction management personnel. Duties: geotechnical evaluation of soil and rock mechanics data perform engineering analyses for design of deep foundations (helical piers, drilled shafts, micropiles, driven piles, and anchors) limit equilibrium and finite element stability modeling of soil and rock slopes perform site characterization (structural geologic mapping and soil/rock core logging) complete written reports and/or provide verbal communication of information in a professional and appropriate manner under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer provide construction support to field crews throughout North America perform occasional site visits to project sites located throughout North and South America Required Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering required Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred a solid understanding of geotechnical engineering foundation and slope design principles Engineer-in-Training (EIT)/Fundamentals in Engineering (FE) certification excellent written and verbal communication skills the ability and willingness to learn new skills and work on a variety of tasks ability and interest in travel (both domestic and international) ability to work with moderate supervision and maximum efficiency in a small office setting interest in long-term career development in geotechnical engineering design able to work effectively and efficiently within a team environment that focuses on design-build delivery methods proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of software experience with the following computer software: LPILE, GROUP, GRLWeap, SHAFT, APILE and SLIDE   Position Requirements   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
