Share Email Opening Title Structural Design Engineer, EIT  Description Job Purpose: This position will be involved in a variety of structural engineering projects with a focus on commercial construction and foundation engineering, with an emphasis on design-build delivery methods. This entry level engineering position will interface with a multi-disciplinary engineering team consisting of civil, structural, geotechnical, and various construction management personnel. This individual will be a member of our interdisciplinary engineering teams participating in the development of major design-build projects. Duties: Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities. Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. Prepare design calculations and analysis for various structural systems (Reinforced Concrete, Structural Steel, Helical Piles, Drilled Shafts, Micropiles, Rock and Soil Anchors, etc.) Prepare preliminary structural designs for use in project bidding. Work under supervision or Senior Design engineer or project management team member Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Master’s Degree preferred. EIT Eligible Proficient with Microsoft Office Experience with Computer Programs such as AutoCAD, Inventor, LPile, GROUP, SAP2000, RISA 3D, Enercalc, and MathCAD Preferred Excellent written and verbal communications skills Highly Organized Able to work effectively within a team environment Knowledge of design standards including FHWA, NESC, IBC, ACI, AISC, ASTM, ASCE, AISC, AISI   Position Requirements   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
