What are we looking for in a Cook?
The main responsibility of a Cook is to plan and prepare nutritional meals for residents of the assigned inpatient facility. Cooks oversee the daily operation of the kitchen, including placing orders, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and following all food safety guidelines. This position is best suited to someone who is highly organized, able to work independently, and has previous kitchen experience.
We currently have two part-time positions available. One is at our Gleed Orchard Manor facility with a schedule of Saturday & Sunday 10am-6:30pm. The other is at our Two Rivers Landing facility with a schedule of Saturday & Sunday 9am-6pm. As these positions are anticipated at 16 hours per week, they are not eligible for benefits.
Cook duties may include:
Education & Experience: High School diploma or equivalent and six months of related cooking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Requirements: First Aid/CPR Certification, Food Handler's Permit, Driver's License, Vehicle Liability Insurance
