About the Organization  
Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide leadership, training, mentoring and support to all levels of the organization and serve as an industrial hygiene, microbial services, and indoor air quality subject matter expert
  • Manage project's scope, schedule, budget, staff, and subcontractors for existing public and private sector clients
  • Provide quality assurance/quality control during preparation of technical proposals and reports
  • Supervise - and conduct - field work
  • Client relationship management
  • Prospect for new clients, cross-sell and assist with expanding client base
  • Act as liaison and advocate for clients with environmental regulatory agencies as needed
  • Implement ATC's health and safety policies and procedures
  • Abide by ATC's health and safety policies and procedures
 
Position Requirements

Basic qualifications:

  • BS degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, public health or related field
  • M.S. degree, a plus
  • Mold Assessment Consultant certification
  • CA DPH CAC or CSST, a plus
  • 10+ years’ experience in actual field work relating to industrial hygiene services. Specialty in mold, IAQ, asbestos, and lead
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) Credential
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential, a plus

Desired qualifications:

  • Knowledge of typical indoor air quality and mold assessment protocols, experience writing proposals/scoping projects, writing reports, etc.
  • Proficient in equipment data programs such as XRF (Niton/Heuresis), Q-Trak, etc.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office® (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent leadership and client management skills
  • Effective technical writing, strong oral communication, presentation and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organization and project objectives
  • Technically adept, flexible, and forward thinking
  • Exhibits ability to successfully track and meet budgets and schedules
  • Exhibits attention to detail, and able to work under periodic time constraints
  • Demonstrated knowledge and background in the implementation of OSHA, ACGIH, ANSI and other technical safety and health standards
  • Ability to assemble and interpret data collected during the assessment of physical, chemical, biological or ergonomic stressors
  • Willingness to travel regionally for short periods of time
  • Candidate may be required to give presentations to client and peer groups as part of the marketing program
  • Membership and participation in recognized peer groups such as the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) is desired and encouraged
