JOB SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a high energy, self-motivated and driven Inside Sales / Counter Person to help grow sales in an established location in Hartford, CT

Essesntial Job Functions:

  • Achieve profit, inventory and customer satisfaction goals by waiting on customers at the counter
  • Answer incoming customer calls
  • Taking and entering customer orders accurately and efficiently in person, over the phone or electronically
  • Communicate order status updates to the customer and manage open orders
  • Collaborate with multiple departments as necessary to process orders
  • Manage daily showroom functions
  • Assist customers with product selections and design (tile & hardwood)
  • Track Daily Showroom activities
  • Work closely with our customer's clients and outside sales team
  • Job quoting and tracking
  • Other projects and duties as assigned
  • Timely resolution of customer concerns
  • Lead generation & follow-up
  • Actively support product picking and loading of customer orders
  • Other branch duties as may be required to include warehouse duties and forklift operation

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of flooring products and installation skills (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal telephone skills
  • Sales counter experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including AS400 experience, as well as Microsoft products
  • Ability to multitask and work as a team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven relationship building fundamentals
  • Knowledge of flooring products preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred, yet not necessary
