POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Manager provides community-based direction and supervision to participants with developmental & physical disabilities on project-based Film & Media services and their vocational development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work with the Film and Media Lead Instructor to coordinate resources and projects with the Film & Media Studio, as well as oversee all projects through Options For All Productions ensuring they are completed to the clients satisfaction.
  • Supervise and train staff in the development of appropriate social skills, employability skills, and experience that will lead to employment either within the film and media industry or other jobs as appropriate.
  • Maintain and oversee inventory of equipment for production including: camera and lighting gear, computers, etc.
  • Organize and prepare mock interview exercises for Film and Media Studio participants.
  • Supervise composition of participant resumes and visual portfolios.
  • Instruct and educate Film and Media Studio participants on soft skills and film-set etiquette to adequately prepare them for the film and media industry.
  • Negotiate Options For All Production rates with prospective clients based off of current rate schedule.
  • Create, complete and maintain: Vimeo account, marketing content, project logs, mock interviews, etc.
  • Market and advertise Options For All Productions and the Options For All Film and Media Studio.
  • Provide project updates to Director of Film and Media and Film and Media Job Placement Specialists.

Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (in marketing or related field, preferred).

    Experience
  • Experience with job development and placement strategies, including: job analysis, task analysis and job carving.
  • Familiarity with job coaching support, instructional strategies and developing on-the-job natural supports (preferred).
  • Experience with instruction in critical life need areas, with emphasis on employment readiness, job placement and employment (preferred).
  • Experience with small group placements (preferred).
  • Experience with Film and Media markets and Networks (preferred).

    Required Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Professional English writing ability, including usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
  • Ability to make effective presentations.
  • Proficiency in basic office equipment, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to teach and demonstrate job search skills (preferred).
  • Ability to effectively negotiate wage levels (preferred).
  • Knowledge of benefit counseling (SSI, SSDI and UI) (preferred).
  • Marketing and/or sales experience (preferred).
  • Connection to Film and Media Network (preferred).



    Other Requirements
  • Immediate access to a vehicle with working seat belts, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and acceptable DMV record.
  • Ability to travel within and throughout the county in which services are provided a minimum of 75% of the time.
  • Ability to travel in and throughout the state on a quarterly basis to attend meetings, trainings, etc.
  • Successful completion of drug screen and background check.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
    This position requires the employee to regularly stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. They must be capable of writing, using a computer keyboard, telephone and related office equipment. Ability to lift 25lbs. required.

    The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    The employee will be working in community environments, employment sites and office environments. The employee will experience normal office conditions with a well-lighted work area and minor noise from standard office equipment.
