Description

This role performs key system administration functions including server and network administration, asset management, planning, and performance tuning. This role will utilize various system toolsets to help ensure that system hardware, operating systems, and related processes/procedures are operating to maximum effectiveness to support kaleo’s business strategy. This individual will provide technical systems expertise and administration within our internal and cloud-hosted software environments. This role will liaise with technology vendors to administer and support modern technology solutions aligned to kaléo’s business objectives. This role will become a technical owner of and conduct administrative responsibilities within various systems where data integrity is integral. Participates in various audit programs where technology is involved and contributes to the ongoing mission of the Information Technology team to provide white-glove technology support to our organization.

  • Under minimal supervision, determines objectives of assignments and determines approaches to solutions with work performed from a long-term perspective and for achieving desired objectives.
  • Conducts administration of on-premises, and cloud-hosted environments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external audits.
  • Provides server and network administration expertise to enhance and develop internal ownership of server and network infrastructure (both on-premises and cloud-hosted).
  • Provides solutions to highly complex technical problems requiring frequent use of creativity and ingenuity and an in-depth analysis and evaluation of multiple factors.
  • Provides technical ownership and administration of various systems to achieve data-integrity of key critical systems, including but not limited to our Learning Management System (LMS) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) hosted environments.
  • Maintains assigned systems keeping functionality and configurations current to scope of supported business processes.
  • Collaborates with internal teams, both IT and cross-functional, to create and manage technical documentation library for technical processes, policies, forms, and end-user SOP’s.
  • Applies extensive technical expertise in principle discipline and broad knowledge in related disciplines in revising or developing new methods and procedures.
  • Evaluates new hardware and software solutions, and makes recommendations to management.
  • Collaborates with vendors, IT staff, management, and the platforms architect in managing and growing the platforms and storage environments.
  • Conducts vendor liaison efforts with various technology vendors and service providers for strategic, operational, and supportive efforts.
  • Performs software product installations, setup and configuring of new enterprise and local systems.
  • Enhances capabilities and value of assigned systems through the build of new functionality and development of routine and ad hoc reports.
  • Operates as an escalation point to the IT Support team for items that are outside of their operational purview or technical capabilities.
  • Collaborates on IT Support requests with existing IT Support team; facilitate interaction between IT support requests and stakeholders as needed.

Position Requirements

Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS) or other related field; Associate’s Degree + 8 years’ demonstrated experience; or 10 years’ demonstrated experience
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Server Administration
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in enterprise IT support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with Systems Administration of hosted Enterprise LMS solutions
  • Demonstrated experience with Systems Administration of QA/QC hosted solutions
  • 2+ years’ experience in Cloud Infrastructure Administration (AWS)
  • Current Professional Certifications in any of the following technologies:
    • Amazon AWS Certification(s) (Associate Level or above)
    • Microsoft Certification(s) (MCSA: Office 365, MCSA: Windows Server 2016, or above)
    • Project Management Certification(s) (CAPM or PMP)
    • Information Security Certification(s) (CISSP or CISA)
