Description

Summary/Objective
The Payroll Administrator is a corporate position at More Than a Bakery that compiles and records family members' time and payroll data. May compute family members' time worked, production and commissions. May compute and post wages and deductions or prepare paychecks.

Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Responsible for the preparation and processing of weekly and semi-monthly payroll for over 300 employees that are either union or non-union employees

  1. Ensures timely processing of all staff payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles.

  1. Track and deduct all garnishments, vacation time, insurance, 401(k) deferrals and all other deductions

  1. Review time sheets to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of the payroll

  1. Contact various department supervisors for any missed times.

  1. Process weekly and semi-monthly transfer of payroll data to Paychex.

  1. Handle enquiries from employees and external contacts and agencies, either in person, by phone or in writing

  1. Compile internal management reports and external reports from payroll system software.

  1. Other duties as assigned.

There are no supervisory responsibilities with this role.

 
Position Requirements

Required Education and Experience
1. Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school or one or more years of related experience and/or training.

2. Minimum of 2 years’ payroll experience.

Preferred Education and Experience
Experience and/or training in manufacturing or distribution companies
