Share Email Opening Title IFF Flight Test Engineer  Description We have an immediate opening for a Flight Test Engineer to support the Combat ID Systems for at NAS Patuxent River. Responsibilities Engineering support to Mode 5/Mode S IFF test and evaluation activities including support for flight and lab test planning, coordination, execution, analysis and reporting activities. Assess system development and integration for impact on test planning and test objectives. Prepare flight cards. Attend flight briefs/debriefs. Support data reduction/analysis. Identify and document deficiencies. Support flight test plan and test report preparation.   Position Requirements A BS in Electrical Engineering preferred with four plus years of relevant experience. IFF experience is desired. Working knowledge of both the theory and methods of aircraft testing and broad scientific technical knowledge of the theory and methods of weapon system acquisition and support requirements including complex problem solving and reduction and analysis of test data are required. A solid understanding of principles and practices of systems engineering including general knowledge of electronics, human/machine interface, and mechanical engineering is also required. Strong writing and oral presentation skills are highly desired. In depth knowledge of T&E engineering principles and processes to modify or extend current theories or test practices and/or procedures is also desired.
