Share Email Opening Title Inside Sales Rep  Position Inside Sales Rep   Location Fontana, CA   Territory   Supervising Manager   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt   Shift Days   Category Sales and Marketing   Description This is a regional office position that reports to the Operations Manager of our Fontana, CA manufacturing facility. The Inside Sales Representative is a valued sales and technical resource. This position is a quote/bid planning support associate to the Regional Sales Group, including both company and independent sales representatives. This position also provides support for all applicable company products including metal and plastic pipe, geo-synthetics, stormwater management products, and other related engineered metal and plastic products. The essential job functions are: Obtain, review and draw take-offs for large project documents to allow for accurate preparation of quotations for review with outside sales staff for eventual submission to the customer. Utilize skills to discover and recommend alternative solutions to bid requests seeking piping solutions (e.g. corrugated steel pipe or HDPE pipe in lieu of concrete pipe, spiral rib versus helical, etc.). Determine pricing for all project take-offs to balance optimizing margin against success in securing the project. Supply pricing for all project take-offs. Accurately enter customer quotes and orders into ERP system. Answer frequent customer calls and service will-call customers. Coordinate with operations and administrative personnel to provide on-time delivery and optimal customer service. Assist in managing “House” accounts directly as needed. Search a variety of electronic, online and other project databases to identify large Requests for Quotes (RFQ’s) that contain corrugated pipe products, which PCP can provide quotations and bids. Other tasks and duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.   Position Requirements 2 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role or within the construction or manufacturing field. Some work experience in estimating and/or project management required. 2 years of experience with AutoCAD preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong analytical, teamwork and people skills. Ability to sit and work with a personal computer and telephone for extended periods. Relevant degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
