Description

Full-time (35hrs/wk) Permanent Position

The Administrative Assistant - Operations will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Executive Assistant/Office Manager. Key functions that this role will play a key role in supporting include: agency event planning, internal communications, board meeting preparations, organization and maintenance of corporate files, and support with coordination of the YSSN administrative team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in providing administrative support at the executive or senior management level, familiarity with supporting boards and/or committees, experience in planning large events, and has a background that includes communications functions – specifically website development, graphic design and/or social media management.

 
Position Requirements
  • Business College or equivalent with training in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Minimum two years’ related senior administrative experience
  • Previous experience with website development and/or maintenance, graphic design/desktop publishing and/or social media management
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and effective organization skills
  • A strong knowledge of community resources would be a definite asset
  • A valid G driver’s license, regular use of a reliable vehicle and appropriate business use insurance (if applicable)
