Roles and Responsibilities:
Shall assist transition of Soldiers from the Active Component to the USAR, or USAR Soldiers transition from active duty to traditional Reserve status, or any Soldier transitions off of active duty and requests P3O support services
Shall refer Soldiers, who are seeking P3O support to include civilian employment, to the appropriate ARS Lead and/or ARS that covers the specific geographic area that the Soldier plans to reside in after completing active military service. This transaction will be captured, tracked, and submitted within the monthly reports
TRLs and ARSs shall work together in order to ensure that pertinent Soldier support services IAW this PWS are provided
TRLs shall coordinate with ARSs within their assigned area of responsibility to assist in conducting P3O unit briefings as needed. However, the TRL’s main focus shall always be to carry out their duties in sync with the Active Component transition assistance centers Transition Assistance Program (TAP) centers within their area of responsibility and engage the transitioning Soldier about Army Reserve opportunities for self and dependents. TRL TAP briefings are not considered “P3O Unit Briefings” but must still be tracked and reported within the monthly reports. At a minimum, report number of TAP briefings as well as breakdown of Soldiers, other services members, and dependents briefed as applicable
Shall develop and maintain excellent working relationships with TAP centers and other entities supporting transitioning Soldiers
Shall provide data matrix to ensure P3O is able to effectively support the transitioning efforts of all USAR, AC Soldiers, dependents, and Veterans
Education and Work Experience:
The minimum education and experience required to perform these services/tasks include a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field from a college or university that is accredited by a national or regional agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
A minimum of five (5) years of work experience in human resources related positions, career counseling, or recruiting/job placement
A Bachelor’s degree can be substituted for ten (10) years of experience in human resources related positions and/or recruiting/job placement
This position requires a Secret Security Clearance.
This position is contingent upon award of a contract.
