Revenue Cycle Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Revenue Cycle Coordinator is a position designed to provide support to the Employment and IPS programs. Activities include: verifying that services are correctly authorized and billed; providing follow up required for collection of billing; identifying issues/trends that cause denials. The Revenue Cycle Coordinator works as part of the Employment Services and IPS teams which furthers the financial and administrative goals of the organization.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Submits timely, accurate invoices to MCOs, VR, and other funding sources for products and services provided.
  2. Identifies issues that may cause denials or held claims.
  3. Provides weekly denial reports, held claims reports, and other reports as needed to the Program Supervisors.
  4. Provides professional, friendly and helpful customer service to internal and external customers.
  5. Researches all denials with appropriate follow-up completed on a weekly basis by the established deadline.
  6. Re-reviews denials not completely resolved each week until resolution, keeping in mind established timelines.
  7. Provides denial management, which may include, but is not limited to, coordination with program staff regarding insurance verification, eligibility and authorization, and communication with funding sources concerning claims denied or paid.
  8. Keeps the Program Manager informed on all issues of importance.
  9. Maintains regular attendance and punctuality, manages use of PTO time, and follows all policies and procedures regarding time off.
  10. Follows all ESUCP Policies and Procedures.
  11. Demonstrates Easterseals valued behaviors of Accountability, Commitment and Caring as appropriate to position.
  12. Completes required training within prescribed timeframes.
  13. Attends appropriate work related workshops, in-service trainings, and conferences.
  14. Performs related duties as requested
Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent accredited by the appropriate state department of education.
  • A minimum of one (1) year’s experience with Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance and Manage Care Organization (MCO).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook, and excellent key boarding skills.
  • A valid, state appropriate, driver’s license, and a driving record that meets the agency requirements.

Must have reliable transportation that will allow movement throughout the program delivery area. Must maintain insurance and registration of vehicle driven for work purposes
