Job Purpose:
The Operations Manager - Southeast USA supports the foundation construction Operating Unit within Irby Construction primarily supporting the Electrical Transmission and Distribution industry. This position is responsible for executing the strategic initiatives of Irby Construction, reporting directly to the President of Irby Construction.
Duties:
Oversee operational leadership of foundation division within Irby Construction supporting various disciplines of foundation construction throughout SE USA.
Directly responsible for the regional revenue, operating profit, budget, schedule, general performance and project closeout for foundation division.
Accountable for securing new work through Business Development activities as well as the continuous improvement of the attributes of existing direct reports. Utilize Quanta or other professional development tools to enhance foundation division.
Review, maintain and improve leadership in oversight of Estimating, Project Controls, Project Management, Accounting, HR and Safety of foundation division.
Conduct regular on-site and off-site project reviews emphasizing proactive safety leadership and supporting organizational priorities regarding QA and Operational performance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure overall client satisfaction and serving as an appropriate and respected ambassador of the organization.
Manage performance of staff and ensure accountability to performance metrics, including leading safety indicators and organizational growth.
Engage and integrate internal and external engineering resources to understand, educate and promote value engineering opportunities within the foundation division.
Ensure integration of safety; contract review and compliance; and integrity of execution of proposed work are priorities of work product throughout the region.
Assist Irby by communicating, collaborating, drafting and executing strategic initiatives of the organization with respect to foundation division and integration within organization.
Compile and evaluate proposals and support the on-going development and education of key principals in proposals.
This position will be directly responsible for staffing division to meet the needs of the organization, within budgetary parameters identified to support on-going operations and anticipated growth and development.
Oversee negotiation and administration of all contracts, change management and claims.
Responsibility for compliance with regulatory agencies, including but not limited to federal, state, local and regional expectations of environmental, occupational health, labor and project execution.
Responsible for execution of responsibilities related to current and future Operating Agreements within assigned location(s) and ensuring QS fulfills obligations and deliverables are accomplished mutually in accordance with Operating Agreement(s).
