Electrical Technician 

Description

We are seeking Electrical Technicians to install and support Shipboard Identification Systems. These positions are part of the Combat Integration & Identification Systems Division that designs, integrates, installs and tests combat and identification systems used throughout the Navy, Marine Corps and other DoD Commands at shore stations, aboard submarines and surface combatants to include Coast Guard vessels and foreign military sales combat ships. The Combat Integration & Identification Systems Division is the leading developer in Combat Identification, Identification Friend or Foe, data fusion and Multi-Mission Data Link Systems with associated life cycle and installation support to military and commercial customers worldwide. Their mission is to develop and deliver superior and innovative technology through the application of Systems Engineering to meet the dynamic needs of our customers in the 21st Century. These positions are located in the Patuxent River, Maryland and Norfolk, Virginia area.

Responsibilities:

  • Install electronic equipment on Navy ships
  • Test electronic equipment on Navy ships
  • Troubleshoot electronic equipment on Navy ships.
 
Position Requirements

Junior Level - A minimum of one year of experience in performing the above engineering technician functions.

Journeyman Level – A minimum of four years of experience in performing the above engineering technician functions.

Senior Level – A minimum of eight years of experience in performing the above engineering technician functions. Must have experience leading a team of technicians supporting installation, test and troubleshooting of electronic systems.

All levels must have a high school diploma or GED. Completion of a technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school curriculum or course of training in electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, armaments/ordnance, or engineering technology; or completion of at least 30 semester hours of course studies at an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical curriculum is desired. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
