POSITION SUMMARY: BASIC FUNCTION

The Master Scheduler is a key member of our project controls team for RagingWire's Construction Capital Data Center portfolio. The Master Schedule audits, validates and imports the General Contractor's cost and resource loaded schedules into RagingWire's Primavera PPM cloud instance and enable reporting of owner and contractor costs through Excel and Unifier. The Master Schedule advises on build progress and prepares reporting for senior leadership and clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review, analyze, and validate General Contractor construction schedules that are cost-resource loaded using Primavera P6 for multi-million dollar data center construction portfolio. Assess over and underutilization of resources and other key performance metrics.
  • Work with contractors and sub-contractors to integrate direct owner activities (ex. IT build-out) creating an integrated master schedule.
  • Audit data center build progress and review critical path method (CPM) program schedules including, but not limited to, relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints. Characterize schedule accuracy and update leadership on schedule and risk by project no less than monthly.
  • Analyze and compare movement to key float paths throughout all the construction trades listed. Perform quantity and cost tracking using S-curves.
  • Develop alternate schedules illustrating scenario planning impacts including end to end master schedules through rolling wave planning level detail.
  • Ensure client schedule requirements are captured and incorporated into scheduling specifications for contractors and subcontractors. Ensure any and all client schedule reporting is in accordance with contractual documents.
  • Maintain the organization's documentation and archives including shared drives, SharePoint, and Enterprise Project and Portfolio (EPPM) platforms. Ensure that file structures are consistent across projects, and that contractors are populating information correctly according to specifications and contractual documents.
  • Preparation of project monthly progress reports for presentations at team and executive session meetings by collecting, analyzing, filtering and summarizing project scheduling and cost resource loaded data.
  • Work across the team to develop and maintain a standard set of business practices for delivery of RDC Projects to ensure consistency in delivery.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability in Primavera P6 EPPM software and comprehension of critical path schedule development; experience with other Oracle-based program/project management tools such as Unifier and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to understand, build, and approve/accept schedules produced by contractors
  • Experience in performing Time Impact Analysis and developing schedule fragnets as required, as well as analyzing monthly updated, revised and/or recovery schedules
  • Experience using Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and software tools which include, but may not be limited to: Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, PowerBI/Tableau, etc. Proficiency in remaining Microsoft suite items (PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, etc) required.
  • Able to work in a team environment and supports teammates cross-functionally within the company (ex. sales, engineering, etc.)
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills; flexible and willing to consider others ideas
  • Manages stress and/or fast-pace effectively.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 5 years with Primavera P6 Client; experience with Oracle Unifier or Primavera Cloud PPM Applications a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of scheduling experience on major construction/capital programs greater than $100M in value; experience in mission critical facilities preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Familiarity with construction sites and hazards and ability to navigate project sites safely and in control
  • Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending.
  • Able to hear and speak into a telephone.
  • Close visual work on a computer terminal.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • 80%: Standard office; Data Center environment with varying temperatures and loud noises; extensive daily usage of workstation or computer.
  • 20%: Construction jobsite at various levels of development

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel up to 20% of the time. May require higher percentage of travel for shorter periods of time
  • Must possess a current, valid state-issued driver's license.
