Share Email Opening Title CH-53K Flight Test Engineer  Description Provide sound technical direction and guidance for the planning, designing, directing, coordinating, conducting, and reporting of on-aircraft integrated avionics and mission systems T&E. Specific tasks will include test plan writing, test conduct, test report writing and general support of the systems engineering process for integrated and installed aircraft avionics and mission systems. Each of these tasks may be applicable to laboratory, ground, and/or flight testing. These positions will also require significant interaction with high level program office personnel for the particular systems being supported. Active engagement in the training and mentoring of junior branch employees in the technical and administrative aspects of flight test engineering will also be required.   Position Requirements A BS in Electrical Engineering is preferred with four plus years of relevant experience. Must have a working knowledge of both the theory and methods of aircraft testing. Must have a broad scientific technical knowledge of the theory and methods of weapon system acquisition and support requirements including complex problem solving and reduction and analysis of test data. A solid understanding of principles and practices of systems engineering including general knowledge of electronics, human/machine interface, and mechanical engineering. Strong writing and oral presentation skills are highly desired. In depth knowledge of T&E engineering principles and processes to modify or extend current theories or test practices and/or procedures is also desired.
