Position Human Resources Manager

Have a seat at the table and take your career to the next level as our Human Resources (HR) Manager. As a HR professional, you will provide leadership in all 'people aspects' of the company, partnering with Senior Management to shape and direct company strategies.

Make a difference by guiding and managing the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs. Utilize your expertise and competences to lead all HR activities and manage the HR department and your HR team. You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Position Requirements

Your Objectives and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize and control all activities of the HR department. Lead development of department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Manage benefit vendors and administer compensation and performance management programs.
  • Effectively partner with senior management to facilitate and execute on strategic decisions and operational needs of the business;
  • Provide guidance, advice and assistance to leadership and supervisory staff on people and business issues, initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Recommend and implement personnel policies and procedures; conduct annual re-evaluation of processes to effect continual improvements in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws
  • Monitor legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the business including OSHA, EEO, ERISA, Wage and Hour issues, etc.
  • Actively support the creation of a positive work environment, reflective of high standards on ethics, compliance and the way we treat colleagues - ensuring fair treatment of all and addressing any issues of harassment, unfair treatment or discrimination.
  • Manage and execute talent acquisition, orientation and retention program. Work with leadership to develop staffing strategies and implementation plans to identify talent within and outside the corporation for future positions.
  • Monitor a comprehensive performance management process to include: goal setting; performance appraisals; coaching and feedback; wage and salary structure; pay policies; and career development.

Your Expertise Will Include:

  • Strong understanding of COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA and related state and federal regulations.
  • Proven business and leadership experience with demonstrated career progression.
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness.
  • Strong consultative relationship building with leaders and employees.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field.
  • Eight plus (8+) years of experience in the HR field, with a minimum of three (3) years in a leadership role.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credentials
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources Management preferred but not required
