Asset Analyst/Specialist

Summary

Asset Management Specialist will be responsible for the management of equipment including government and customer furnished equipment, database management, asset management, and calibration coordination. Additionally, he / she will be accountable for maintaining an effective Measurement Management System that ensures the control and accountability of equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Comply with all AS/ISO/Internal procedures and work instructions.
  • Ensure compliance of policies with regards to assets for Safety, Quality Controls, FOD/FOE, Equipment Calibration, Property Control, ESD, Preventative Maintenance, and Ergonomics.
  • Support ISO audits and maintain metrics.
  • Train team members engaged in asset and calibration activities.
  • Coordinate asset inventory equipment moves, maintain and standardize calibration of required equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, process planning, specifications, etc.
  • Use standard inspection equipment.
  • Identify visual defects and document nonconformances per company procedures.
  • Coordinate Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
  • Assist carrying out rework related activities as it relates to Operations
  • Incorporate / update standard processes and controls for asset management and calibration.
  • Execute and maintain calibration records in accordance per company procedures.
  • Schedule calibrations, create calibration datasheets using technical standards, request quotes, create purchase orders, and review vendor calibration certificates to determine if further actions are required.
  • Must be un-biased in approach to inspection results.
  • Ensure 5-S is adhered to properly.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates Degree or Certificate from College/Technical College, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance procedures & methods used in aviation preferred.
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) concepts & applications preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Maintain a team orientated working environment that allows for process development, corrective action & problem solving.
  • Knowledge of Asset Management concepts.
  • Knowledge & proficiency of various computer systems including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Calibration and Asset Management Software and tools.
  • Experience with RF and/or electrical components and calibrated equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to lift, move and manipulate up to 25 lbs required.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch & stand, handle/feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Ability to walk and/or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Visual acuity required.
