Description

Position Responsibilities:
1) Create efficient data processing workflows for training machine learning systems
2) Build frameworks to consolidate existing data sets and annotations (visualization, organization, statistics, data loaders)
3) Create annotation tools for new tasks and improve existing annotation tools
4) Analyze results of machine learning models on data
5) Build tools to summarize, visualize, analyze typical failure cases
6) Discuss with researchers how data needs to change such that models improve
7) Design better annotation and acquisition strategies for specific cases
8) Communicate requirements and assign tasks to annotation teams based on above analyses

 
Position Requirements

1) Python for scripting (build tools for computing statistics or visualizing data)
2) Bash or Shell (handling data sets on distributed Linux-based environment)
3) Basic web-development in HTML, Javascript (annotation tools are web-based)
4) Basic understanding of machine learning and computer vision concepts, for different tasks like object detection or semantic segmentation
5) Basic understanding of how machine learning systems are trained, how they are evaluated and how they can fail
6) Ideally, be able to train or test models with some assistance from researchers.

Other Desirable Skills:
1) Programming experience in C, C++
2) Experience with automotive or robotic systems
3) Experience with mobile or embedded systems
