EYP is seeking an Architect-Designer with the following responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with client and project design team to develop architectural design concepts for healthcare projects.
  • Develop and draw exterior and interior healthcare architecture design concepts using SketchUp and Revit.
  • Create presentation drawings for healthcare architectural projects using PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Use Lumion to develop architectural rendering and animations.
  • Build physical architectural models of healthcare projects and use 3D printer to create three-dimensional models.
  • Apply theoretical and practical fundamentals of healthcare architecture to establish the design concept and prepare detail drawings using SketchUp, REVIT, or current software from rough or detailed sketches or notes.
  • Integrate engineering systems into healthcare project designs while ensuring conformance with design goals and compliance with municipal and state life safety and building codes.
  • Coordinate production of and review in SketchUp, REVIT, or similar software pre design, schematic design, design development, and construction documents reflecting planning and design recommendations and client expectations relative to approved program and budget.
  • Mentor junior staff.
  • Participate in responding to client and prospective client requests for proposal, make project presentations to clients, meet with prospective clients, network, and attend professional seminars.
Position Requirements
  • Master’s Degree in Architecture, plus 2 years of healthcare or education, science, and technology (EST) architecture design experience, or alternatively, Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, plus 5 years of healthcare or EST architecture design experience.
  • Registered architect in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Experience with developing and drawing exterior and interior healthcare or EST architecture design concepts using SketchUp and Revit.
  • Experience using PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Premiere Pro to create presentation drawings.
  • Experience using Lumion to develop architectural renderings and animations.
  • Experience building physical architectural models.
  • Experience using 3D printer to create three-dimensional models.
  • Experience with producing and reviewing construction documents.
