Share Email Opening Title Programming Intern, Preservation and Foundation Programs - Summer 2019 (Academy Gold)  Description Job Summary: The Academy is seeking an enthusiastic individual to serve as an Intern in the Programming department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to sit in on regular Programming, Film Archive and Library meetings with the Managing Director of Preservation and Foundation Programs and his Programming staff, provide research on a wide variety of film-related projects, as well as assist with the organization of upcoming Academy programs and special events. Other duties of this position include basic administrative support. Duties and Responsibilities: Assembles research on a wide variety of film-related projects and maintains project files. Assists with the organization of upcoming Academy public programs and special events. Other duties as assigned.   Position Requirements Interest in film programming, motion picture history and technology. Outstanding research skills. High level computer expertise, especially with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, FileMaker Pro, the Internet and other administrative computer software. Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Outstanding communication skills with the aptitude to handle a variety of people, personalities, and situations with diplomacy, discretion and poise. Ability to work cooperatively with other departments, and professionally and gracefully with members and the public. This internship is part of the Academy Gold Program, an 8-week summer internship enhancement program that incorporates learning opportunities including an intensive two-day orientation, weekly panels, exclusive networking events, workshops, screenings, and mentorship opportunities with Academy members.
