Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time  

The Role

As a small, nimble startup Acceptto is growing and changing with lightning speed. In our environment everyone in the company must wear multiple hats, including this new position that reports directly to the president and involves two primary roles:

  1. Company Human Resources lead, and

  2. Office Manager of the company headquarters

Human Resources responsibilities include the following:

  • Primary liaison with the outsourced HR provider

  • Own all recruiting and onboarding

    • Implementation and management of the recruiting and onboarding system

    • Managing the new talent pipeline, including initial application, coordination of screening & interviewing sessions, dispositioning of candidates, offer management and new hire onboarding.

  • Develop and maintain company policies and procedures

    • Work with executive team to establish, maintain and adjust company policies and procedures

    • Own and maintain the employee handbook

  • Benefits administration

  • Employee management & development

    • Establish and manage the annual performance review process

    • Establish and manage an annual employee development process synergistic with the annual review process

    • Conduct disciplinary management

    • Develop a formal employee onboarding process

    • Oversee onboarding of all new employees

  • Foster a positive company culture

    • Drive and plan fun team building events

    • Maintain morale at satellite offices (Vancouver, BC and Lisbon, Portugal)

    • Conduct & analyze organizational health feedback mechanisms

The Office Manager role involves the following:

  • Core Functions

    • Prioritize and delegate administrative workload generated by the office of the President

    • Continuously monitor workloads and identify when new hires needed

    • Manage all administrative staff

Supervised job functions fall into one of two categories...

  • Administrative

    • Filing (digital and physical)

    • Event planning and preparation

    • Travel reservations

    • Maintain office kitchen

    • Maintain office supplies

    • Vendor Management

  • Finance

    • Invoice entry

    • Accounts payable management

    • Processing of employee reimbursement

Who We Seek

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the drive and desire to roll their sleeves up and do the day-to-day work while building out policies and processes that support the company's aggressive growth objectives.

Specific skills and experience include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business, or similar, or equivalent employment history preferred

  • 2-5 years of HR experience, or equivalent.

  • First level supervisory / management experience highly desired

  • Outstanding verbal and written skills (English proficiency a must)

  • Charismatic, collaborative, trustworthy and ethical team player.

  • Ability to function effectively, creatively and collaboratively in ambiguous circumstances.
