The Film & Media Program Manager provides overall management of the assigned Film & Media Studio including direction, supervision and management of staff and participants.


  • Oversee overall workshop operations including participant program coordination, fiscal records, property management, staff training, technology and vehicle management.

  • Manage services and implement program curriculum in the areas of: communication, community integration, health and safety, independent living skills, mobility and travel training, recreational activities and cultural events, self- advocacy, self-care, socialization, technical support, vocational training, volunteer work and other designated skills.

  • Provide support, supervision and motivation in the process of creating all Film and Media Studio content.

  • Support students in direct internship/employment opportunities, as needed, to meet the program's needs.

  • Coordinate ISP reviews and ID team meetings, as needed.

  • Communicate with families and/or care providers, case managers and other professionals, as needed.

  • Effectively relay issues and concerns to the Director of Film and Media.

  • Ensure completion and maintenance of programmatic forms, files, paperwork, etc.

  • Prepare and distribute daily schedules for staff and participants.

  • Maintain participant attendance at or above 95% and 1:5 ratio.

  • Track and record participant progress toward achievement of goals and objectives.

  • Prepare and operate within annual budget, meeting or exceeding budget goals.

  • Respond to all requests, questions and issues in a timely manner.

  • Ensure program compliance with all policies, procedures and standards.

  • Ensure Program Data Management System is updated and contains accurate information.
  • Conduct intake meetings and ensure timely and complete enrollment of all new participants.

  • Recruit, review and process referrals to the program.

  • Diffuse crisis situations and provide crisis intervention, as necessary.

  • Conduct safety drills with staff and participants.

Personnel Management

  • Hire, train, direct, develop, evaluate, supervise and mentor direct reports.

  • Prepare and submit personnel forms.

  • Collect, audit and finalize time cards and mileage for staff.

  • Monitor staff performance, complete performance reviews and report potential issues.

  • Hold staff accountable to their job description, job duties and attendance.

  • Conduct monthly staff meetings.

Position Requirements



  • High School Diploma, equivalent or GED.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related area (preferred). Experience

  • Knowledge of digital film production, processes, and techniques (e.g. storytelling, acting, art design, screenwriting, producing, directing, camera, lighting, editing) (preferred).

  • Direct, hands-on experience working with individuals with a variety of disabilities within the human services, education or a related field (preferred).

  • Demonstrated ability to provide staff training, supervision and planning.

  • Personnel management experience (preferred). Required Skills

  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, communication and time management skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

  • Professional English writing ability, including usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.

  • Ability to conduct staff meetings and trainings.

  • Proficient use of basic office equipment, Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to multitask, organize information and prioritize activities. Other Requirements

  • Occasional availability on weekends and early evenings.

  • Immediate access to vehicle with working seat belts, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and acceptable DMV record.

  • Ability to travel within and throughout the county in which services are provided.

  • Ability to travel in and throughout the state on a quarterly basis to attend meetings, trainings, etc.

Successful completion of drug screen, credit check and background check.

$45,000 - $54,000 year + benefits: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, flexible spending, AFLAC, EAP, paid vacation and holidays.
