Job Responsibilities: Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for onsite safety at all times Control hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through safety management and contacting supervisory personnel Develop, oversee, implement and enforce site specific accident prevention plans and activity hazard analysis Document all accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions/activities Conduct daily safety and health inspections and maintain a written log documenting the following: Area and/or operation inspected Date of Inspection Identified Hazards Recommended Corrective Actions Actual Corrective Actions Date of completion of corrected actiona Perform other safety duties as required   Position Requirements OSHA 30 certifications are required Documented 10 years in safety roles of a progressive nature Documented safety training of at least 24 hours annually Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) and/or Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) is preferred Excellent communication and decision making skills Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and other applicable web based programs   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Shift -not applicable-   Position Site Safety and Health Officer   Number of Openings 1   Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt   About the Organization DAWSON is a SBA Certified Native Hawaiian Organization (NHO) 8(a) small business with over 23 years of experience providing innovative and cost-effective solutions to our clients across the globe with offices in Hawaii, Guam and throughout the Continental U.S. The company is owned by the Hawaiian Native Corporation (HNC), a non-profit organization, controlled entirely by Native Hawaiians with a mission to perpetuate the sovereignty of Native Hawaiians and positively impact the communities in which we work.
