Description

The Assistant Equestrian Trainer is a year round position. Responsibilities include teaching riding lessons to lower through upper level George School students and community riding students. This position is the Lead George School Equestrian Camp Instructor and is expected to help promote and help grow camp enrollment as well as participation in the community lesson program. In addition to being an excellent teacher, strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are required.

 
Position Requirements
  • 5 years of teaching horseback riding is required, beginner through advanced level experience is preferred
  • An Associates or Bachelors’ degree, preferably in Equine Science and Equestrian Management.
  • Demonstrate broad experience in other aspects of the horse/equestrian business, including animal-care, riding instruction and business development
  • Strong customer service skills, including phone/email and public speaking
  • Must live within close proximity of the campus
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to access email and Internet resources.
