Description

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the supervision of game day staff, specifically the Host and Greeter positions. Employees in this position must be proficient in the Pirates' policies and procedures in order to provide the highest level of customer service to all guests of PNC Park and to provide day-to-day supervision of Pirates staff during baseball games and events.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise the Hosts and Greeters during games and events to ensure the highest level of customer service.
  • Ensure that all employees in your area know their job duties and any special issues associated with their assignment.
  • Have full knowledge of all Pirates' policies, procedures, and credential requirements.
  • Attentively address guest's questions, concerns, and suggestions and be prepared to respond and assist accordingly.
  • Conduct pre-game staff briefing for event information.
  • Complete game day checklist as assigned by Coordinator, Ballpark Operations.
  • Operate and respond to radio transmissions and paging system.
  • Assist in the exiting of guests and employees in the event of an emergency evacuation.
  • Assist in and resolve safety issues around the ballpark.
  • Report maintenance issues around the ballpark.
  • Report any incidents and medical emergencies to the Coordinator, Ballpark Operations and complete an incident report, if necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Coordinator, Ballpark Operations.
  • Reassign team members when directed.
  • Assist in employee relations situation when requested by Pirates management.
  • Assist with the set up and break down of events around the ballpark.
 
Position Requirements

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two (1-2) years supervisory experience and/or if an internal candidate for the position sufficient knowledge of Pirates’ policies and procedures and demonstrated abilities to lead a team.

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications ability to learn new software.
