Description

Position Summary

Hosts should be friendly, outgoing individuals that will assist and greet Guests at PNC Park. This position includes, but is not limited to: escorting guests from the concourse, down aisles in which their seats are located; managing seating areas during the game; provide benchmark customer service and serve as a source of information to all guests. Hosts will be trained to have a vast knowledge of PNC Park and its operating rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect your assigned areas for any safety hazards or seating irregularities prior to opening the gates, and report any problems to your supervisor.
  • Wipe down seats before gate opening.
  • Face incoming guests while standing at the top of your section or in the center of your portal.
  • Greet and assist guests and answer any questions that arise.
  • Check tickets for valid date and seat location then direct or escort guests to the proper location.
  • Walk up and down the aisles between innings when appropriate.
  • Constantly scan the seating areas for any injuries that may result from a foul ball, homerun ball, stray bat, slip and fall, fighting, etc. (approach guest in your assigned area and lend assistance)
  • Scan your assigned area for cans, bottles, and any alcohol related problems or unruly guests using profane language.
  • Be alert for any objects being thrown from the seating areas and from areas above your area.
  • Discourage guest's movement back into the seating areas during play; allow guests to move during break in the action.
  • Watch for seat jumpers to protect the integrity of the tickets.
  • Advise guests who are smoking that it is prohibited in PNC Park.
  • Direct and control the exiting of guests in the event of an emergency evacuation.
  • Report any incidents to the area Supervisor, and complete an incident report, if necessary.
  • Thank guests for attending the game
  • Thoroughly search your area for any items left behind.
 
Position Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk up and down steps repeatedly
  • HS Diploma/GED preferred
  • Customer Service experience preferred
