Duties & Responsibilities
Provide duties related to an HR Generalist and have knowledge in multiple disciplines to include but not limited to recruiting, employee orientation, compensation, benefits, employee relations.
Work collaboratively with human resource team members to ensure compliance with all Federal and State employment laws while following and enforcing company policies
Maintain all employee personnel records
Must be able to appropriately, discretely and effectively handle and communicate sensitive information and have a strong understanding of confidentiality
Supports activities, employee initiatives, and special projects.
Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to demonstrate professionalism when interacting with others
Maintain procedures aimed at improving the quality and delivery of HR programs/services to employees
Provide managers with guidance on employee coaching and corrective action
Assist team with candidate screenings and assessments scheduling of interviews, creating offer letters, reference checks, background checks, manage necessary new hire documentation and overall facilitate the orientation process
Assist in research, development and implementation of services, policies and programs in the office.
Help enhance a company culture that emphasizes teamwork, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Assist Benefits Specialist: Be point of contact for employees and assist with managing enrollments as well as assist in annual open enrollment.
Participate in salary benchmark data preparation and analysis
Participate/provide support in the performance management/bonus administration process
Assist with other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
3+ years of human resources and payroll experience preferred
Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws is required
Previous experience in the Construction Industry preferred
Strong communication/negotiation skills
Strong computer skills: HRMS, Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to multi-task and wear many hats throughout the course of the day/week
Professional, friendly and outgoing demeanor and attitude is a plus
