POSITION SUMMARY

Regional Directors coordinate overall management and administration of all aspects of program services within their assigned geographic areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Operational & Programmatic Management

  • Ensure programs maintain adequate participant/staff ratio.
  • Collaborate with CFO to develop program budget.
  • Collaborate with COO on program designs, training schedules and grant applications.
  • Ensure programmatic accuracy and maintenance of all documentation, reports and paperwork.
  • Ensure Program Data Management System is updated and contains accurate information.
  • Ensure programs operate within annual budget, meeting or exceeding budget goals.
  • Ensure billing hours in assigned region are being maximized.
  • Maintain or increase program revenues.
  • Respond to all requests, questions and issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure region compliance with all policies, procedures and standards.
  • Conduct and document spot checks and on-site visits.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures and standards to ensure programmatic compliance with governing agencies.
  • Participate in participant investigations, as needed.
  • Plan, direct and implement marketing efforts for assigned region.
  • Identify and engage in network-building activities (e.g. community and professional organizations).
  • Recruit, review and process referrals to the program, as needed.
  • Diffuse crisis situations and provide crisis intervention, as necessary.
  • Conduct safety drills with staff and participants, as needed.
  • Attend all required meetings and in-services.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Effectively relay issues and concerns to the COO.

Personnel Management

  • Hire, train, direct, develop, evaluate, supervise and mentor Program Managers and other direct reports.
  • Maintain staff training and required documentation.
  • Provide training for new Program Managers, on-going training to veteran staff and annual training for all staff.
  • Prepare and submit personnel forms.
  • Collect, audit and finalize expenses and mileage for staff.
  • Monitor staff performance and report potential issues to the Human Resources Department.
  • Complete staff Performance Reviews within 14-days of their due date.
  • Hold staff accountable to their job description, job duties and attendance.
  • Create and promote a collaborative, team environment across all programs and departments.
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings.

Position Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field.
  • Master’s Degree in Human Services or related field (preferred).

Experience

  • Significant experience managing programs and services for adults with disabilities.  
  • Experience with instruction in critical life need areas, with emphasis on employment readiness.
  • Experience with instructional strategies and developing natural supports, including state-of-the-art techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide staff training, supervision and planning.
  • Personnel management experience.  
  • Knowledge of Department of Labor procedures regarding employment of individuals with intellectual & physical disabilities (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of Human Resources practices (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Community Care Licensing and Title 22 regulations (preferred).
  • Capability to oversee and monitor budgets (preferred).

Required Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Effective crises management skills.
  • Superior interpersonal and time-management skills.
  • Professional English writing ability, including usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
  • Ability to conduct staff meetings and trainings.
  • Proficient computer and technology skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, search engines.
  • Ability to multitask, organize information and prioritize activities.

Other Requirements

  • Immediate access to a vehicle with working seat belts, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and acceptable DMV record.
  • Ability to travel within and throughout the county in which services are provided.
  • Ability to travel in and throughout the state on a quarterly basis to attend meetings, trainings, etc.
  • Successful completion of drug screen, background check and physical evaluation.
  • Fluency in a foreign language (preferred).
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position requires the employee to regularly stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. They must be capable of writing, using a computer keyboard, telephone and related office equipment. Ability to lift 25lbs. and transfer 75lbs. required. 

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

The employee will be working in community environments, employment sites and office environments. The employee will experience normal office conditions with a well-lighted work area and minor noise from standard office equipment. Exposure to blood borne pathogens could occur during restrooming, feeding, or when administering first aid to participants. Hepatitis B vaccines are offered at no cost to each employee.

Wage

$60,000 - $76,000 per year + benefits.
