Position Summary:

The Construction Project Manager (PM) will report to the Irvine, CA office but applicant can be located remotely in the Western Region. The PM will manage all aspect of Department of Defense (DoD) projects to include proposals, pricing, project kickoff, execution, and closeout. Primary clients will be US Army Corps of Engineers and NAVFAC EXWC. Approximately 20% travel is expected to accomplish pre-bid site visits, regular project site visits, and client engagement.

Although this position will report to the Irvine, CA office we are open to applicants who can work from home and located in the Western Regions. This job is open to applicants to telecommute, work remote and is a virtual / offsite position.

Job Responsibilities:
• Assembles the project team, and manages the project scope, schedule and budget to ensure DAWSON’s commitments and financial goals are met.
• Sets a common vision and enable team members to be successful and able to identify their goals and individual contributions to a project.
• Consistently meets or out-performs planned project profitability and metrics on projects with moderate risk.
• Manages quality and H&S to achieve zero accidents and ensure quality goals are met
• Resolves stakeholder and team conflicts and reestablish a collaborative work environment.
• Develops and effectively implements a stakeholder engagement plan to build trust at all levels.
• Ensures timely and accurate submittal of invoices. Monitoring and reporting of the status of accounts receivable and recommends appropriate action on overdue accounts.
• Identifies value-creation opportunities during bid and/or early project phase.
• Assists with proposal efforts, including costing and profitability planning.

 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (civil, mechanical, electrical) or equivalent experience
  • Construction or Engineering experience working with DoD, Federal Government or Military clients strongly preferred

The following certifications are preferred but not required:

  • PMP
  • Quality Control Management (QCM) Course (USACE or Navy)
  • DoD Security Clearance
