Therapist / Crisis Responder

Description

What are we looking for in a Therapist / Crisis Responder?

The Therapist / Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) position combines traditional therapist duties along with delivering crisis outreach services. During the work week, Therapist/DCRs meet with clients to provide therapy using evidence-based practices. In addition, Therapist/DCRs perform crisis outreach duties on a rotating schedule during regular business hours and after hours. The crisis outreach responsibilities are associated with the Involuntary Treatment Act of Washington State and require the Designated Crisis Responder to assess for the safest and least restrictive way to resolve a crisis. This role demands collaboration with Comprehensive services, hospital emergency departments, law enforcement, and other community partners. This position is best suited for someone who likes variety in their daily activities and wants to work as a therapist, but also enjoys assisting individuals in crisis. Training in evidence-based practices is provided as part of this position.
