Summary Objective

Data Team IT Liaison, understand business strategy and can identify technologies that will improve and enhance an organization's business goals. The IT business liaison is a support role and this person is often the single point of contact between an organization's IT and business teams.

Working closely with and often embedded within the business, this liaison develops a solid understanding of how business operations function. The liaison then identifies improvement opportunities and defines technical requirements to help IT teams design hardware or software solutions. Essentially, the liaison serves as a bridge linking the business community and IT to ensure the services IT provides align efficiently with the needs of the business.

Essential Functions

Day to day, you will prioritize incoming requests and attend to any issues that require action. You will work with our client services team and oversee the completion of all related tasks and projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clearly communicate requests and complex ideas to and from the client
  • Evaluate and prioritize incoming special project requests and communicate with the appropriate resources
  • Advocate on the clients' (internal/external) behalf
  • Forecast Client needs and address proactively
  • Manage projects, from inception to successful completion
  • Oversee the successful onboarding of new clients
  • Assist in the development and communication of client notifications, reference materials, new services and FAQs
  • In all forms of communications you are articulate, succinct and professional. Explaining complex concepts to them, in a manner they can easily understand
  • Prioritizes daily assignments to ensure regular follow-up and timely completion
  • Updates daily follow-ups with detail actions taken, status and next follow-up date
  • Responds to customer calls and/or email requests to provide assistance as needed to address questions or concerns
  • Responds to escalated customer care on-line requests, emails and/or telephone calls as needed
  • Monitors on-line requests, emails tasks and telephone calls to ensure adequate coverage in absence of Supervisor or Manager
  • Conducts quality control assessment of on-line requests, email tasks and telephone calls in absence of Supervisor or Manager

This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.

 
Position Requirements

Core Competencies

  • Must have intermediate knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint)
  • Should be detail oriented, self-motivated, and an excellent creative problem solver
  • A proven ability to successfully manage multiple, disparate streams of work in a challenging, dynamic environment
  • Must be able to appropriately prioritize assigned tasks to ensure timely goal achievement
  • Must have the ability to collaborate with people at different levels within the organization to accomplish a common goal
  • Utilize effective written and oral communication skills to share information
  • Ability to adhere to a regular work schedule

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 2-3 Years IT Liaison support experience preferred
  • Proficient project management skills to deliver on deadlines
  • Experience gathering data, analysis, research and presenting useful information
