The Energy Management Department in Cupertino, CA invites applications for a summer internship position from qualified PhD candidates. The internship project includes research on an autonomous decentralized P2P energy trading platform in micro/power grids for optimization of distributed and renewable energy resources. The successful candidate is expected to develop and strengthen our blockchain-based P2P transactive energy systems based on sound modeling and theoretical foundation including power systems, game theories, and deep learning to establish and solve a critical decentralized problem of distributed energy resources. |
• PhD candidate in CS/EE • Knowledge of energy management systems (e.g. distributed energy resources, battery, power flow • Knowledge on transactive energy framework and P2P energy trading • Strong theoretical background especially in game theory • Good programming (Python, Java, Javascript, etc.) and system design skills • Deep learning, data mining and analytics, and graph modeling skills • Knowledge of blockchain technologies, smart contracts, IoT, and distributed networks and systems |
