Northern Nevada HOPES seeks a leader to help expand high quality, evidence-based psychiatric outpatient services to our patients. If you have passion and vision to meet the need for Behavioral Health Services in Northern Nevada, we have a place for you.

Northern Nevada HOPES is a community health and wellness center serving the Northern Nevada area. We are a non-profit community health center located in a historic and quaint area of downtown Reno, Nevada. Our expert care teams provide integrated medical and wellness services to individuals and families in our community. At HOPES we understand there are many determinants of health and that a range of personal, social, economic, and environmental factors influence health.

  • We are a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The mission of all FQHCs is to provide excellent health care services to otherwise under-served populations. We accept most insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare, and the uninsured. For the uninsured, we offer discounted services based on a sliding fee scale.
  • We are a National Health Service Corp site, and our providers are eligible to apply toward a federal loan forgiveness program

Our Chief Behavioral Health Officer will lead our multidisciplinary behavioral health team in charting the path to grow our services to better meet the needs of our patients. The need for Outpatient Behavioral Health services has grown tremendously! We treat a variety of mental health and substance abuse issues. Our Chief Behavioral Health Officer will work with the team to provide vision, direction and leadership to grow our Behavioral Health Services. Our CBHO may provide leadership for doctors, psychiatrists, therapists, psychologists and psychological assistants, psychiatry residents, psychiatric APRNs and PAs, and medical students as well as engage in assessment, evaluation and treatment of patients through our Outpatient Behavioral Health Services.

Position Requirements

We are looking for:

  • A psychiatrist or psychologist licensed in the State of Nevada and board certified (or eligible at time of hire); evidence-based and team-based
  • A background in leadership and management of Behavioral Health services
  • Experience in assessment, development, evaluation and delivery of new and existing programming.
  • Work history providing treatment to individuals experiencing homelessness, serious mental illness, substance abuse and members of the LGBTQ community
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other services providers in the community to build overall community capacity
  • A passionate provider with a heart for our mission and our patients and a vision for Behavioral Services at HOPES
  • A superb communicator, helping patients connect with their primary team and other services
  • A leader dedicated to collaboration to provide direction for the agency
 
About the Organization Northern Nevada HOPES is a nonprofit community health center in downtown Reno, NV that offers integrated medical care and wellness services. We welcome patients, wherever they are in life, and provide them with compassionate, high-quality healthcare.
