Description

ATC is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Woburn, Massachusetts office. The position requires strong leadership skills, a solid technical background and an excellent reputation of maintaining client relationships. The position will be responsible for management of environmental site assessment/remediation projects; preparation and review of technical reports, proposals and cost estimates; agency interaction and negotiations and business development.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Client relationship management,
  • Manage assessment/remediation project’s scope, schedule, budget, staff, and subcontractors for existing public and private sector clients,
  • Provide quality assurance/quality control during the preparation of technical proposals and reports,
  • Supervise field work and mentor junior staff,
  • Act as liaison and advocate for clients with environmental regulatory agencies, and
  • Implement ATC’s health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Abide by ATC’s health and safety policies and procedures.
 
Position Requirements

Basic qualifications:

  • B.S degree in geology, chemistry, biology, engineering, environmental science or related field.
  • Effective technical writing, strong oral communication, presentation and time management skills.
  • Fluency with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP)
  • Support human health and ecological risk assessments.
  • Manage, query, review, and analyze large data sets.
  • Prepare work plans and technical reports.
  • Excellent leadership and client management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organization and project objectives.
  • Technically adept, flexible, and forward thinking.
  • Exhibits attention to detail, and able to work under periodic time constraints.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office®.

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience: Qualified candidates will have at least 10 years overall experience with 6+ years of environmental site assessment/remediation experience in Massachusetts with 4+ years of direct responsibility managing projects, providing QA/QC of deliverables, and assisting with business development. The candidates will also have specific experience in a similar role within an environmental/engineering consulting firm identifying and implementing innovative, cost effective solutions that meet or exceed clients’ expectations with a focus on risk management based solutions. Candidates must have excellent writing and quantitative skills, and the ability to work independently in a challenging and fast-paced work environment. Strong statistical and data management experience are a plus.
