This position supports the Delta Western site managers and Marketing team with developing new prospects, interacting and servicing existing customers to increase the sales of petroleum products on all markets served.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILIITES
Designs, executes and evaluates long term and short term sales campaigns. Analyzes market and strategically plans sales efforts and implements effective strategies for increasing sales. Establishes long-range objectives and specifies strategies to achieve them.
Develops and manages marketing team members and builds a cohesive team.
Develops and manages sales contract support software and personnel.
Serves as a member of the Anchorage based leadership team; providing collaborative support to each of the DWP Terminal managers and sites.
Assists with synergizing efforts to manage Company brands.
Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
Prepares annual budget, scheduling of expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
Determines annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for different sites, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyzing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies and discounts; recommending selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.
Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share. Monitors customer preferences to determine focus and sales efforts. Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities. Reviews operational records and report to project sales and determine profitability. Develop, implement, builds relationships and manages a Key Account Management multi-disciplinary strategy around key customers. Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
Works closely with revenue generating teams to develop, negotiate and win long term profitable and sustainable business.
Establishes and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships. Communicates with individuals outside of the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, and other external sources. Manages public relations along with the other members of the Delta Western Management team.
Confers with potential customers regarding equipment needs and advises customers of potential equipment needed for their operations.
