Description

JOB SUMMARY: Represents the Agency as a key member of the Development and Marketing team. Will play a key role in fundraising and marketing to support the mission of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Build, cultivate and manage major gifts, including the Circle of Friends Annual Giving campaign and other special projects to include planning and coordinating presentations, disseminating information and organizing events.
  2. Perform individual prospect research with the goal of cultivating a major gift portfolio of prospects annually to increase giving and identify new major gift support.
  3. Work with Director of Development & Marketing and Service Area Directors to create an annual marketing plan within budget guidelines.
  4. Secures contracts, media placement, and ensures marketing plan is effectively executed.
  5. Manage the Agency’s Direct Mail Campaigns, in collaboration with the Director of Development and Marketing
  6. Identify and coordinate Community Awareness.
  7. Provide support to Director of Development and Marketing.
  8. Work with eTapestry and Wealth Engine databases.
  9. Collaborate on Development and Marketing initiatives.

OTHER DUTIES: As assigned.

 
Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Extensive knowledge of development and marketing functions. Strong relationship builder to increase major gift support. Ability to gather and summarize data for reports, project management expertise, creative problem solver and ability to prioritize work. Knowledge of eTapestry is helpful.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS: N/A

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred, and 5 years of work related experience. One year of supervisory experience, if applicable. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to articulate Catholic Charities’ mission and services to donors and prospects, project coordination experience, with all levels of internal management as well as outside clients/vendors. Ability to travel locally and work occasional nights and weekends.
