The Film & Media Program Editor/Post-Production Specialist executes technical tasks related to production and post-production for all content created in association with the Film & Media Program.


Responsible for the technical needs of the Film & Media Program, including all editing and post-production for a variety of video content produced during the program, including two short films.

  • Oversee management and maintenance of editing suite and all files and raw data.

  • Oversee and train staff, participants and independent contractors in post-production elements including editing, credits, poster and DVD design and copying and printing DVDs.

  • Maintain inventory of equipment for editing and production, including cameras, lighting, and computers.

  • Oversee maintenance and condition of editing and production equipment.

  • Responsible for overall maintenance of social media presence including oversight and training of staff in coordinating and maintenance of all project-sharing social media sites/platforms such as YouTube.

  • Support students in direct internship/employment opportunities, as needed, to meet the program’s needs.

  • Support staff in implementing the employment services and vocational training programs in the areas of access, acting, advocacy, appropriate behavior, art, camera filming, communication, computer training, cultural events, directing, editing, filmmaking, health and safety preparation, independent living skills, job skills, mobility, music, outdoor experiences, personal care training, recreation, resource training, social skills, technical support, travel training, volunteer jobs and other designated skills.

  • Maintain office, program and work spaces, keeping them neat and organized.

  • Perform incidental job duties, such as cleaning, as required.

  • Assist with maintenance of the work facility and premises, as applicable.

Position Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent.


  • 3+ years of experience in video editing experience in a creative, client-based environment.

  • Proficiency in Mac computers.

  • Extensive experience in editing systems like Adobe Premiere Pro, AfterEffects, Final Cut Pro and Motion.

  • Knowledge of computers and software, with the ability to troubleshoot basic problems

  • Direct, hands-on experience working with individuals with a variety of disabilities within the human services, education or a related field (preferred).

  • Experienced video editor with demo reel.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, communication and time management skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

  • Professional English writing ability, including usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.

  • Ability to conduct staff meetings and trainings.

  • Proficient use of basic office equipment, Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to multitask, organize information and prioritize activities.

Other Requirements

  • Immediate access to vehicle with working seatbelts, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and acceptable DMV record.

  • Ability to travel within and throughout the county in which services are provided.

  • Ability to travel in and throughout the state on a quarterly basis to attend meetings, trainings, etc.

  • Successful completion of drug screen, credit check and background check.


This position requires the employee to regularly stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. They must be capable of writing, using a computer keyboard, telephone and related office equipment. Ability to lift 25lbs and transfer 75lbs required.

The employee will be working in community environments, employment sites and office environments. The employee will experience normal office conditions with a well-lighted work area and minor noise from standard office equipment. Exposure to blood borne pathogens could occur when administering first aid to participants. Hepatitis B vaccines are offered at no cost to each employee.

The wages for this role range depending on experience and education: $19.75/hr - $21.40/hr
