The Registered Nurse (RN) / Nursing Supervisor will oversee the management of healthcare for individuals living or being served in the Supported Living/waiver, Respite, and Extensions programs ensuring that individuals medical and wellness needs and personal outcomes are met. The Registered Nurse (RN) will oversee the work of the LPN staff in Supported Living/waiver, Respite, and Extensions programs. The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities Medication Administration Certification training to staff. The Registered Nurse (RN) will be competent while delivering care to persons we support. The Registered Nurse (RN) will effectively interact with persons we support, their families, our Boundless associates, and other health team members while maintaining all standards of professional nursing. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Provides supervision and consultation to the LPNs in Supported Living/waiver, Respite, and Extensions programs in the overall management of health services. Oversees plans to meet health and wellness needs. Schedules LPNs as needed. Serves as the medical liaison with individuals served, families, healthcare providers and significant others. Provides Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities Medication Administration Certification training and observations related to Medication Administration. Maintains records to ensure that staff have the required training in Medication Administration. Provides regular review of medical and nursing practices and required documentation requirements. Ensures that the information in the medical record is maintained and meets regulatory standards. Monitors and approves compliance of all DODD, ODH, and other regulatory requirements. Provides medical and wellness input to the individuals served, team members and families/guardians. Assists the team with goals associated with health and wellness and ensures that these factors are a part of the individual’s Support Plan. Participates in the admissions of new residents to Supported Living/waiver, Respite, and Extensions programs. May provide supervision and consultation to LPNs in other Boundless programs. Performs the duties of the LPN in their absence. Coordinates medical and wellness services with health care providers outside of Boundless. Provides medical and wellness input to various assigned committees for strategic planning, policy development and quality assurance. Attends meetings and training as necessary. Supervisory Responsibility This position will supervise the LPN staff in Supported Living/waiver, Respite, and Extensions programs and will oversee the Boundless Medication Administration program. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Working days are generally Monday through Friday with working hours generally falling between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m -- with flexibility in hours to meet our needs. Evening and weekend work required as job duties demand. Travel Travel is regular, but primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected on occasion. Required Education and Experience Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
