Job Purpose: To ensure Crux Subsurface, Inc. meets its goals of creating the safest work environment possible for its employees, customers, vendors and the public and to provide Injury Case Management in accordance with Company objectives, federal, state and local regulations.

Duties:

  • Assist in the preparation of project specific health and safety plans, as required.
  • Perform advanced project planning specific to available medical treatment and drug testing sites
  • Effectively communicate with medical professionals, treatment facilities, claims adjusters and outside case managers to discuss successful outcomes while ensuring the best care for the injured worker.
  • Participate in review and management of JSA, JHA and other workplace safety programs as directed.
  • Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining safety training programs as required.
  • New hire orientation, application, safety training and termination paperwork, as required;
  • Provide injury case management including: initial care and assessment, appropriate and compliant treatment, follow-up and return to work with a goal of effectively and appropriately managing work related illness/injury, managing lost time and assisting in defining tasks appropriate to perform with documented work restrictions/limitations.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections and safety reports as required.
  • Assist with collection of documentation and investigation of safety incidents and accidents and Near Misses as directed. Completes appropriate documentation and records and ensures timely delivery of records to Environmental Health and Safety Director.
  • Submits performance reports on safety topics to Project Management and Environmental Health and Safety Director as required.
  • Effectively communicate with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
 
Position Requirements

Skills/Requirements:

  • OSHA 500 certification to present OSHA 10 and 30 hour training
  • Ability to identify safety exposures and develop mitigation practices
  • Ability to provide presentation and training to a variety of audiences
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, clarify and execute written and verbal instructions
  • Competence with Microsoft Office and online reporting.
  • Travel requirements expected to exceed 75% of scheduled work shifts (i.e. at least three weeks on-site consecutively)
  • Prior experience in drilling/construction industry with responsibilities related to injury case management, safety implementation and risk mitigation, EMT-P Paramedic Certification State and/or National (must provide proof of reciprocity) OR LPN/RN/NP with valid state licensure and eligibility to obtain licensure (or demonstrate reciprocity) in assigned states as required OR otherwise satisfy certification/licensure requirements of an Occupational Health Professional
  • Previous EMT/Paramedic experience, 1st response experience or emergency 911 experience preferred
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification required
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with clients, vendors and employees
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license with 3-year Motor Vehicle Report acceptable to Crux
