Description

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Spares Warranty, the Warranty Analyst will: evaluate warranty claims for program applicability and correspond with the customer via written communication;; Assign charges and credits to appropriate accounts; Prepare and submit miscellaneous credits and invoices; Ensure financial data is complete and accurate on each transaction for reporting purposes; Communicate with vendors/repair agents and Account Representatives; As needed, represent DFJ Warranty during vendor/repair agent meetings; Provide feedback to the Supervisor of Spares Warranty regarding vendors/repair agents, customer service issues, and trends.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Qualify the customer warranty claim/ service report for applicability
  • Communicate with Supervisor of Spares Warranty, Field Service Representatives, Command Center personnel, Systems and Programs Engineering, Dassault Aviation, regarding complex warranty issues
  • Monitor vendor warranty decisions to ensure compliance with DFJ warranty contracts. Communicate non-compliance issues to Supervisor of Spares Warranty, DSC, or Dassault vendor monitoring personnel as needed
  • Identify the warranty claim/ service reports for non-repairable parts, for the purpose of obtaining replacement parts from the manufacturer
  • Communicate and dispute quotes with vendor/repair agents to insure DFJ interests are met and all eligible warranty costs are recovered
  • Assist the Account Representatives with the resolution of invoice disputes regarding warranty.
  • Initiate invoices, credits or payments to customer based on warranty adjudication.
  • Generate reports to management as assigned.
  • As necessary, correspond with customers in writing, regarding warranty status.
  • Follow up on request for missing and additional information for warranty claim.
  • Collate and email customer correspondence regarding warranty status
  • Other duties may be assigned by management in order to meet department or business objectives on an as needed basis
  • Assist the Account Representative with resolution of warranty related invoice disputes.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree with a technical focus (preferably aviation)
  • Coursework or experience in business field (e.g., a business minor)
  • Working knowledge of technical terminology, preferably in aviation industry
  • Practical or school experience related to general ledger account reconciliation
  • Aviation background and experience, (either work related or school)
  • 2 years experience in a service organization
  • 1 year experience in Warranty Administration
  • Proficiency in the use of PC Windows business software, ( Microsoft Office preferred)
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills, related to technical and financial issues, with both internal and external customers.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant Technician license or familiarity with aircraft maintenance
  • Pilots license
  • Ability to understand French/Spanish

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Office and warehouse environment
  • Some travel may be required. both domestic and international (valid passport)
  • Use of personal computers required
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
