Share Email Opening Title Pipelayer - Wastewater  Description Position reports to Wastewater Service Foreman. Employee is responsible for construction and repair of sewer lines which includes laying pipe the installation of clean outs and the renewing of sewer services, while making sure the job is done in a safe, timely manner. Performs construction and repair of sewer lines which includes laying pipe grade. Installs, caulks and fits pipes in proper manner. Performs construction and repairs of manholes, including some cement work. Cleans sewer lines. Operates light trucks and other equipment.   Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a valid driver’s license. Should have good oral and written communication skills. Should have a minimum of 9 months experience in pipe laying field and two years related experience.   Physical/Environmental Requirements The environmental working conditions of this position include entering confined spaces and dealing with harmful waste, gases and odor. Constantly working in wet surroundings and high temperatures and very frequently working around loud noise, low temperatures and working outside.
